The EPIC Rm 18 v Rm 19 Court Cricket Battle Continues...

 After a week of rain and snow, today was the perfect day for a game of Court Cricket.  Although I was out of the class for Term 3 inquiry planning, I managed to sneak out just in time to take these photos and catch out one of the 'big hitters' from Rm 19. 

To everyone's credit, the game was played in good spirits.  Rm 19 stole the victory on this occasion.  Well done Rm 19!    

On a special note, I am really proud of how Rm 18 has been handling themselves over the past few weeks in my absence.  The relievers have been SUPER impressed with your positive attitudes and respect.  Well done guys!  Doing Mrs P proud!

Creative Junk & Kutwell Fabrics

I went to Creative Junk this morning and brought 4 bags of GOODIES (including bubble wrap, clear plastics, pink foam, blue box ties...).

I also went to Kutwell Fabrics on Columbo Street to get the 8m of white fabric that Brooke, Georgia & Kate requested ($2/mtr). 

I'm off to the beach shortly to see what my kids and I can collect from the beach.

Hope you are all busily gathering materials for construction week.  :)

List of materials we need...

• chicken wire (lots of it)
• newspaper
• wool (particularly bright colours)
• wall paper glue
• cellophane (particularly blue and clear)
• wire in a coil
• 6 x garden stacks
• fabric (particularly blue, black and sandy colours)
• clear wine cask bladders
• items from the beach - shells, driftwood etc.
• an old umbrella that you no longer need
• fishing line
• styrofoam
• bubble wrap
• can of snow spray

The list will expand tomorrow when the groups finalise their requirements.  Please keep checking the blog over the weekend for a list of required materials.  If you have any of these items laying around the house/shed and you don't need them, we'd love to add them to our collection of wearable arts materials.

Wearable Arts Construction Week notice

Hi families!

A notice was sent home today with students re: our up-and-coming Wearable Arts Construction Week (week 6).  Please return the notice ASAP if you are able to assist at all next week.  Remember, "many hands make light work!"  We'd love to create 7 fantastic creations... so the more hands on deck the better!

PS: Thanks Ben (and Mum) for lending us your sewing machine for next week.  Much appreciated! :)
