Meet the Teacher

We would like to invite all Parents and Caregivers to participate in our Orientation and Meet the Teacher evening - this Thursday 18th February from 6.30pm.

Orientation: Starting at 6.30pm a brief orientation will be given in the school hall.  You can expect to hear from our Senior Leadership team who will outline key initiatives for 2016.  At 6.50pm you will then move to your children’s collaborative pod.

Meet the Teacher: You will have two opportunities to meet with us.

      7.00 - 7.20pm All Year 0 - 8 teachers will be present in their collaborative pods.  They will give a general overview of the classroom programme and specific details on how you can support your child’s learning.

      7.25 - 7.45pm As per the first session.

Please remember that the ‘Meet the Teacher’ evening is for you to develop a better understanding of how your we work as a collaborative pod.  If you wish to discuss specific aspects of your child’s learning, please make an appointment to see us at another time.

Reading Groups

Today we were treated to our first School Journal play for 2016.  Bruno and Yusi were so decorated to their roles that they raided the Year 3/4 dress up box for suitable attire.  Bruno and Yusi, we love your dedication.

Sam's accent was also right 'on point'.  

Well done boys!  Great to see you embracing the craft of performing arts.

Heart of the School Award and Mr Rae's farewell

Last Friday, one of our very special students was awarded the Heart of the School Award by Mr Callaghan - Patricia.  We are so very proud of who you are as a person and the kindness that you display towards others each and every day.  We are lucky to have you in the Pateman Pod.  Well done Patricia!

Mr Rae's Farewell

Friday was also special for another reason.  We said farewell to our caretaker of many years... Mr Paul Rae.

The Student Council decorated a throne that would be worthy of a king, and Mr Rae sat proudly during the assembly that was held in his honour.   Molly read from a slideshow that was made by his family and we learnt a lot more about his extraordinary history.

Fun in the Sun

We had a great time outside today!  First, we started with some basic basketball dribbling skills, then we went into a game of 3 on 3 basketball - Room 18 v Room 19.  19 won in a tightly fought final match... just... but good job 18.  Can't wait for next time.  Bring it on!

2016 - Welcome back!

We hope you have all had a fabulous holiday break!  We are now only one week away from the beginning of the school year for 2016.  Mr P and I are looking forward to getting to know you all better and experiencing the excitment of learning together.

Please bring all of your named books and equipment on the first day.  We will spend time on the first day labeling all of your books and writing important dates into your Student Diary (these will be handed out on the first day).
