Mathematics Results
Last Thursday, each student was asked to take home their Portfolio book to discuss with parents. In particular, I asked that students discuss their results from the recent Mathematics test (Position and Orientation).
As a class, we looked at each section of the Position and Orientation report (e.g. the section entitled, 'To be Achieved', identifies the student's Next Steps). It is important that students understand their progress, can identity next steps and can discuss this clearly with others.
If, after discussing this with your child you have any questions, please don't hesitate to email me. :)

Christchurch identity
Last week was the final week of our speeches on Christchurch suburbs. Students did extremely well to research the history of their suburbs and interpret census data.
Josh made Pegasus look so appealing in his speech last week that Mr P and I decided to visit Pegasus on Saturday. Our kids enjoyed biking around the lake. What a gorgeous place!
On Sunday we went to the Groynes in Belfast and Willowbank Reserve. What did you do over the weekend? How are your experiences and identity shaped by the fact that you are a Christchurch resident?

Well done Ben M., Jake & Emily R.!
Great job Ben M., Jake and Emily R. who represented our school and our class so amazingly at the Christchurch schools Police Competency Test (PCT) on Friday 14th March.
Each of you are an asset to our school and our class!
From over 90 teams, Ben & Jake's team placed 6th overall and Emily's team place 13th. Brilliant!
