MAGGI Cooking Showdown Update

Well done to Angus, Grace, Noah and Emily who did a fantastic job today at the MAGGI Cooking Showdown South Island Regional Final!  The final was broken up into three heats.

The timetable for our team:

10:30 - team registration

11:15-11:45am - kitchen prep and brief

11:45-11:55am - competition and judges brief

12:00-12:50pm - cooking and plate up

12:50-1:15pm - judging and clean up

The team learned some cooking tips from the judges and gained valuable lessons in media training.

The event will be televised on the Erin Simpson Show on August 16th.  The South Island winner will be announced on the show.

QUEENSLANDER!

If NSW win tonight, they will secure their first series win in the last 8 years.  Naturally, I am hoping that Queensland's home advantage at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane can keep their series hopes alive.   QUEENSLANDER! 

Spelling Quiz Postponement Date

The Spelling Quiz has been postponed until Monday 29th July (day one of Term 3).  I will send home a notice to all of the parents involved.

The EPIC Rm 18 v Rm 19 Court Cricket Battle Continues...

 After a week of rain and snow, today was the perfect day for a game of Court Cricket.  Although I was out of the class for Term 3 inquiry planning, I managed to sneak out just in time to take these photos and catch out one of the 'big hitters' from Rm 19. 

To everyone's credit, the game was played in good spirits.  Rm 19 stole the victory on this occasion.  Well done Rm 19!    

On a special note, I am really proud of how Rm 18 has been handling themselves over the past few weeks in my absence.  The relievers have been SUPER impressed with your positive attitudes and respect.  Well done guys!  Doing Mrs P proud!
