Chinese Lantern Festival

Did anyone else go to the Chinese Lantern Festival last night?  Mr P and I saw a few people from St Martins, including Terrill, Wendy, Ms Sumer and Nina.  We'd love to hear what you thought.

Japan Day Sunday 6th March

For those studying Japanese this term, you might be interested in heading along to the Canterbury Japan Day - Sunday 6th March at the Riccarton Raceway.

Capoeira Workshop - Mon 22nd Feb

Last week we were treated to a workshop that Mrs Rowe organised for us. The workshop was a mix of martial arts and Brazilian dance. The Dance Crew will have more workshops later in the year. Exciting!

Otago Times Newspaper

This week, the first edition of Otago Times Extra for 2016 will be delivered to our school.  The editor of Otago Times Extra has emailed us asking for student writing to publish in upcoming editions:

• short stories
• letters to the editor
• book reviews
• poems
• any feature articles about students at our school

We are going to spend some time this week, brainstorming, crafting and editing a piece of writing for the newspaper.  Hopefully, we'll see some of our work published for New Zealand student subscribers to enjoy shortly.  The deadline is Wednesday 2nd March.
