Week 6 Writing Samples

Word Builders

Word Tower
Begin your new tower
With 26 letters
Zip A through to Z
Pile your letters into words

Stack your words into sentences
Pile them high... low...
All different heights
Smother in your punctuation

Full stops are like red traffic lights
Commas are getting you ready
And if you see a capital letter
Go it's a green light

If you see a stanza or paragraph
It's a new part
Have shorts ones and long ones
Until you have reached a chapter

Until you have created
a whole world
of...
books.

A World of Wonder
To begin building your world of wonder
Search the jungle of letters
Grab letters A to Z
And make them into words.

The words form a village of sentences
Those sentences turn into paragraphs cities
Different parts of the country are chapters
They create a world of books.

Wonderful World of Writing
Capital letters are the green lights telling you to write more
Full stops are the red lights telling you to take a break

Brackets are like your mind holding extra information
Commas are the breath you take when you come up form the magical unknown of the ocean
That's the wonderful world of writing.
